Andrew and I are spending ten days on holiday in Sydney. Our mate Aaron is getting married this weekend, so we thought we'd add on a few days, see the family and see the sights.
A highlight of Andrew's day was seeing the Apple Store .
We ate at Krispy Kreme. Nice, but doesn't beat donuts from the Eastwood st donut cart in Ballarat!
The signs in the CBD all say "This is our city in summer". In case you're not sure though, the umbrellas are NOT a tool to beat the heat. It was wet. If I wanted that I could have just visited Melbourne no?
We caught the ferry to Parramatta, later in the day. I was hoping we could go on one of the old style ferries like you see in the picture behind, but it was a River-Cat called Dawn Fraser. A bit disappointing, but we stood outside anyway and enjoyed it.
Its difficult to see in the picture, but I wore my "I love Melbourne" t-shirt all day. Gosh I'm such a nonconformist.
Woohoo for holidays!! Hope you're having a great time. Raining in Sydney huh? And we have a whole week of 40 degree heat...in BALLARAT!!!! Ha!
ReplyDeleteI was in Ballarat Saturday, and it was significantly hotter in Ballarat than it was in Melbourne.
