Late/early

I should be asleep right now. It is way past bedtime, past midnight and well into the early morning. Andrew is home from work. I have been in bed, trying to help the little one understand that it is time to turn her body to 'snooze' until daylight. I am tired, but this wee girlie is not. On the up side, we can play with no bossy big sister stealing all the toys.

My Place and Yours: Orange

This week's theme is Orange, pretty exciting for me because I love love love orange! Especially when I was pregnant with Addie there was a rich orange theme running through everything that I bought and used. I was also addicted to eating the fruit, orange which is odd for me because I don't usually enjoy eating oranges.

Orange combines the energy of red and the happiness of yellow. It is associated with joy, sunshine, and the tropics. Orange represents enthusiasm, fascination, happiness, creativity, determination, attraction, success, encouragement, and stimulation.

To the human eye, orange is a very hot color, so it gives the sensation of heat. Nevertheless, orange is not as aggressive as red. Orange increases oxygen supply to the brain, produces an invigorating effect, and stimulates mental activity. It is highly accepted among young people. As a citrus color, orange is associated with healthy food and stimulates appetite. Orange is the color of fall and harvest. In heraldry, orange is symbolic of strength and endurance.
